You Might Be a Fillmore If. . .

You may be descended from Bruce and Ann Fillmore if . . .

10. . . . you use a red felt advent calendar at Christmastime
  9. . . . you associate July 4th with flag ceremonies and fire drills
  8. . . . you learned to drive in a van and/or a Ford Taurus
  7. . . . you can spontaneously make up funny rhyming lyrics to any tune
  6. . . . you see someone wearing heavy clothes on a warm day, and you say, "I'm getting hot just looking at you!"
  5. . . . you ask your family members at bedtime: "Did you brush and flush? Did you pray and 'spray'?"
  4. . . . your morning beverage of choice is Metamucil
  3. . . . the mention of Metamucil reminds you of Dad's joke about it being "for our regular customers, or rather for our non-regular customers."
  2. . . . you can bend your thumb back so it makes a 90 degree angle

and the number one way you might know if you're descended from Bruce and Ann Fillmore is . . .

. . . if you're exceptionally smart and well-adjusted, not taller than 5'8", with bowed legs and a fairly decent singing voice, too.

Happy 41st Anniversary, Mom & Dad! You're special parents, and I appreciate all we've inherited from you.

 love, Marcie

P.S. Siblings, what are your "You may be descended if. . ." ideas?
