Halloween Pics

Hey! Where's 2020 ?!?

I know you are all busy Polo-ing, but what about posting in 2020?

We've actually had a great year. We've gone to the beach more this year than any before and had lots of visitors and new experiences. We made this video for a ward Facebook challenge to put our quarantine lives to a TV show theme song. The other entries were really funny, but showed everyone inside sitting on computers and baking. I wanted ours to debunk the myth that you can catch a cough riding your bike!

Trip to Kentucky

I thought maybe the blog was the best way to put up all the pictures. I hadn't been to Kentucky for 15 years. Not since Mom & Dad moved and I got married.

Excited to go!

Gross Mom!

Look what I found in the airport.

Flag ceremony

Lady Liberty

Quincy called her "Eka-witty"

It is so beautiful there. Just driving around was wonderful.

Just like I remember it.

"Where the Old Ohio Flows"

He loved Rabbit Hash. He found an unattended beer can on a picnic table. Stephanie got to him on time!

My favorite shirt in the Rabbit Hash General Store.

Quincy surprised us during sacrament meeting!

Where I was baptized.

Where I danced for many nights of my life. Melinda had her reception here. We performed Marcie's roadshow.  So many memories.

When I have dreams where I'm in church, it's still in this building.

Remember racing out of that foyer and running over Greg Shields?! Good times.

Quincy and Justice played and fought and played and fought.

Chili cheese fries and a Big Buford. Don't worry: I only got through half of each the first day, and I ate salads the rest of the day.

This place is still here?!

DEER!

Carole Hahn's old house where we had piano lessons.
My old house

Go Raiders!
We shared our memories of Mr. Cooper.
There's a new part stuck in there.

Mall Road has a fancy sign. The rest of it is not that fancy.

Florence Y'All

Not blue. But Snappy Tomato Pizza is still there!

Go Rebels...?

He took a nap on the way home.

He's more excited than he looks.

Happy to be home!

These shoes were like $5

"New" school clothes. That shirt came from Mark.

Kindergarten readiness!
Edward called these "Missouri Party Pants." He really wanted to keep these. I really didn't want that.

Craft Fair Excitement

I had a booth at our school's craft/vendor show last Saturday. It was a beautiful booth!

The biggest reason I thought about doing the fair was that Dad's Starkress Woodkraft shelves didn't sell on Etsy, and I thought they would sell so much better in person. I bought this closet door from DI for $8 to display the shelves in all their glory.

I put together sets of my greeting cards and thank you cards.

I printed posters and I framed some and had some foam-mounted.

Katie helped me fill up the booth with wreathes, paracord bracelets, and the MOST adorable pinecone art.

I even printed up Grati-Dude card sets for MEN. There was a whole set of antlered animals because this is Idaho.

From 10am to 4pm, I sold ONE set of cards. Katie sold ONE bracelet. And no shelves. It was a long day. Very educational, not particularly profitable, but not the worst Saturday I've ever had.

I adjusted and fiddled with the displays every 45 minutes or so to look busy and feature different items.

And I made friends with my booth neighbors. They agreed that business was slow.

Evan was really sweet and supportive of me. He helped me setup the night before, watched the boys all day, and helped me take everything down at the end! He told me he was proud of me for the effort I put into it. I don't often experience ambition, so doing a project this big was daunting and stressful. But now I can add this to the list of things I've done.
