Rachel's Ramblings

Well, it's Friday here in St. George (not everywhere else, just here in St. George) and for most people that means weekend fun, but for me, it means I find myself sitting at home eating Activia and wondering what to do with myself. (But thanks to Activia, I know what I'll be doing in 30 minutes...) So I thought I would write a little update on my life for y'all.

I'll keep it short because I don't have any pictures to make this post more exciting and we all know how laborious it is to just read a blog post. (No pictures?? Talk fast, you're losing my attention)

I just had an 'interview' today at the temple to volunteer at the clothing desk. I passed! So every first and third Saturday from 4:30-8:00 pm that's where you'll find me. I'll try to look especially single so all the cute boys renting clothes will love me. Clearly the ones coming to the temple on Saturday night are available.

I've been working at the city's Nature Center doing kids camp, which has been fun. Anything else to say about this? No. Okay moving on.

To me, summer means not washing my hair, never wearing makeup, and going to the lake a lot. I'm excelling at all of those. My roommies and I take tubes and just go float in the water. It's nice and relaxing. I should probably invest in some sunscreen though.

Now I know the question that's on everyone's mind and I won't keep you in suspense any longer. Yes, I did buy a pair of tropical pink high heels.

In other news, I'm not dating anyone. And I haven't been on a date for a good while now. I can't decide if it's due to my lack of social motivation, my reluctance to move on and let my heart heal, or just that I hang out with my beautiful, tall blonde roommate who seems to attract all the boys. Or could it be the lake hair and no make up thing I've got going on? It's too soon to tell.

Me and the tall blonde. (Just had to add something interesting to look at. I could tell by the number of words here that I better throw in something visually stimulating to keep you enraptured for the next few paragraphs.) This was taken in the winter at a gas station in Beaver, UT. There is a huge chair which we sat on and she looked like a beauty and I looked like a teddy bear. It's the story of our friendship.

I've either got to make myself look presentable more often or get uglier friends. I'm still weighing out the pros and cons for both options.

So in conclusion. Life is pretty okay these days. Some days are better than others. Who needs love and all that other junk. I've got my Activia to keep me warm.

Big Pants

I"m not posting this on my blog, cause people might know who these pants belong to.  But we found them in a car we borrowed and had some fun.
